Wow! It's been a long time since I've posted anything on this blog! I didn't know that it had been since September! So, yes, I've been neglectful of my own blog and largely that has lost the relatively small audience I had accrued . . . hopefully in time I will be able to build it again . . . but for those of you who find yourself here, I just wanted to post a few links that have me quite angry at the present moment in hopes of inciting the same sort of indignation in people within my circle of my friends as well outside of my circle of friends . . . perhaps people in Japan where this atrocity is occurring.
The atrocity I speak of is the senseless abuse and murder of over 200 bottlenose dolphins in Taiji Cove, Japan. As Martin Luther King Jr. said, "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter". Ignoring injustice and animal cruelty isn't going to make the problem go away. Instead, it sends the message that such cruelty is OK and that they can continue on with business as usual. The last of the following links is from CBS News - I saw this story on the news just this evening so I'm not just making this up.
